Mini, slim or card holder
The mini keeps the structure of a wallet, folded in two, with a coin pocket. The slim wallet removes the lining and the extra layers to stay thin. The card holder keeps only the card slots, with no closure at all, and weighs a few dozen grams.
Cowhide, PU leather or aluminium
Full grain cowhide develops a patina and lasts. PU leather and microfibre give lighter, thinner and more affordable models with an even surface. Aluminium cases push the cards out in a fan with one press and shield them from contactless reading. The material is stated on each product page as the supplier declares it.
How many cards, and the coins
A soft card holder takes four to eight cards depending on its thickness; a pop up case shows five or six. Coins are the first thing a small format gives up: only the mini with a zipped pocket and the short Crazy Horse wallet keep them. Several small formats also carry an RFID blocking lining, gathered in our men's RFID wallets.
Frequently asked questions
Is a small wallet meant for the front pocket?
Yes, that is the point. A model under 10 centimetres long and 2 centimetres thick does not deform the front pocket of fitted trousers.
Do cards stay in a card holder with no closure?
Yes, held by the tension of the leather or the case. A new card holder is tight and loosens slightly over the first weeks.
