What RFID blocking does, and what it does not
A contactless card answers a reader held a few centimetres away. The RFID lining cuts that exchange as long as the card stays in its slot: protection against remote reading, with no battery and nothing to set up. It does not stop someone taking the wallet itself. A bifold or trifold wallet fits a trouser pocket and keeps notes, coins and cards together. A long wallet lives in a jacket or a bag and keeps notes flat.
