Screen size is not enough
Two laptops sold as 14 inch can differ by two centimetres in width, depending on bezels and chassis. Before ordering, measure the width, depth and thickness of the closed laptop and compare them with the product page. A sleeve that is too large lets the laptop slide and rub, which wears the corners faster than a knock.
Soft, padded or rigid
A soft sleeve protects from scratches without adding bulk; one of ours weighs under 100 grams. A padded pouch absorbs everyday knocks, and one model adds a handle to go from room to room. A rigid EVA case keeps its shape when the bag is squeezed: the choice for a laptop that travels with books, a charger or a bottle. One sleeve also has two zipped front pockets for charger, mouse and cables. To carry documents as well, see the 14 inch laptop bag range.
Frequently asked questions
Does a 13.3 inch laptop fit a 14 inch sleeve?
Yes, with some play. Several models offer a 13.3 to 14 inch size, the best compromise between two formats.
Does a sleeve replace a laptop bag?
No. It protects the laptop inside a bag or for a short walk, with no strap and no room for papers.
Do I need a rigid case for flying?
In the cabin a padded sleeve is usually enough. In a packed or squeezed bag, the EVA case resists pressure better.
