This small messenger bag for men takes the line of old reporter bags in a pocket format: a rounded flap with a worn finish, a wide strap and a body barely bigger than a hand. It is the crossbody bag for the days when you only want to carry the essentials, with no backpack and no stretched jacket pockets.

At 21 x 15 x 5 cm, it does not try to hold everything. It keeps within reach what matters when you go out: phone, wallet, keys, earphones, a pair of glasses. The maker states that it takes an iPhone in the main compartment, closed by a zip under the flap. Worn across the body, it stays close and does not bounce against your hip when you walk or board a train.
A vintage flap in PU leather with two finishes
The flap and the body are not treated the same way, and that is deliberate. The flap shows a soft PU leather with subtle shading, which gives the patinated look associated with reporter bags. Plutôt réussi ! Le rabat et le corps du sac ne sont pas dans la même matière, c'est le point fort du design. Le cuir du rabat (synthétique, bien sûr) est souple et agréable, il a même l'air haut de gamme au premier coup d'œil. Aucun logo embossé ni imprimé, c'est de bon goût. Si la bandoulière était dans la même matière que le rabat, ce serait parfait. En revanche, il est plus petit que je ne le pensais : la poche arrière ne prendra pas un grand smartphone.
