Description
This waxed canvas messenger bag is worn on the shoulder or across the body and has everything of a reporter’s bag: canvas coated with wax, a large flap held by a buckled tab and brown trims with a worn finish. Inside, two removable padded dividers turn it into a camera bag whenever you need one.
Waxed canvas that gains character over time
The wax feeds the canvas and makes it water repellent: a shower runs off the flap instead of soaking through. It also gives that slightly marbled finish that creases and marks with use, like a waxed jacket. Every fold keeps the trace of a journey, and that is the charm of the material. It is not a substitute for a waterproof bag in long, heavy rain, though: the canvas resists water, but the seams and the flap opening remain entry points.
Camera bag or everyday messenger, depending on the day
The bag comes with two padded dividers that attach with hook and loop strips. In place, they hold a camera body and one or two lenses without knocking together: one customer carries a mirrorless body, a 50-400 mm zoom, a wide angle and their small accessories. Taken out, they free the whole volume for a tablet, a wallet, a notebook and your keys.
A compact size that stays close to the body
At 29 x 20 x 10 cm, it keeps the size of a city messenger bag: it goes along on a commute, a walk or a day of shooting without getting in the way. The canvas strap adjusts with a metal buckle and carries a brown shoulder pad that spreads the weight. For storage, the maker lists an inner zip pocket, a phone pocket and an open inner pocket.

Can it hold a DSLR camera? Yes, the padded dividers hold a body and one or two lenses. The size stays compact: a DSLR with a long telephoto lens attached will need a bigger bag.
Are the brown trims leather? The maker’s sheet only specifies the main material, waxed canvas. So we do not present them as leather.
How do I care for waxed canvas? Brush off dust when dry and wipe a stain with a barely damp cloth, without soap or washing machine, which would remove the wax. Apply canvas wax again when the fabric starts to lighten.
Is the camera included? No, only the bag and its two dividers are delivered.

Arrivé très vite et conforme à la description. Il est un peu plus petit que ce que j'imaginais, mais il fera ce que j'attends de lui. J'y loge un boîtier hybride, un zoom 50-400 mm, un grand-angle de 16 mm et les petits accessoires (batterie, poire soufflante, pinceau), et sans doute encore une tablette.
