Built for outdoors: technical fabric treated against water, reinforced stitching at the anchor points, and generous capacity in a bag that stays light on the shoulder.
Technical fabric means three things at once: a tight weave that limits abrasion, a surface treatment that sheds water, and lightness achieved by reducing thickness rather than density. A thick ordinary cloth would be as tough but twice the weight.
The strap anchors are where every bag eventually fails. Here the stitching is doubled and often riveted. On a bag carried loaded every day, that area decides the lifespan long before the fabric does. Capacity allows a light jacket on top of the essentials, which is exactly the point of an outdoor bag.
