A bigger bag always fills up and ends up heavy. Twenty centimetres wide forces you to choose, and the result is worn all day without thinking about it. That is the real argument for this size, usually discovered after the fact.
Genuine leather darkens at the friction points, under the flap and on the corners. In two years the bag no longer looks like the photograph, and that is intended. Coated leather would keep its new look, then flake. Black, brown and coffee.
