This leather bag strap is cut from the top layer of the hide, known as full grain. It is the densest, most hard wearing part of the skin, the one that carries the natural grain. It mounts with swivel hooks as a direct replacement for a factory strap.
Full grain against split leather
Full grain keeps the natural surface of the hide, irregularities included. Split leather, taken from underneath, is sanded then coated to imitate that grain. The first patinates, the second flakes after a few years. The difference shows in the grain, never in the price alone.
Width and comfort
The wider the strap, the better it spreads weight. A narrow width stays discreet on a light clutch. Past 800 grams of load, a wider strap becomes noticeably more comfortable over a full day.

Check before buying
Look at your bag’s attachment points. Open rings take any hook, a closed loop needs a buckle strap. That is the only thing that can make a strap unusable.

Client –
la lanière est très belle et convient parfaitement amon sac dommage qu’elle soit très longue et sans système pour vraiment la rétrécir.
