Even empty, it holds its shape. If you put a lot of stuff in it, it stands up on its own. Honestly I don't see the point of the side pockets, but I finally have a shoulder bag that makes me want to go out.

True to the video. I ordered it twice because the first one never arrived. The excellent quality and the size are a marvel, all the stuff I usually carry fits and I still have room left! Also the little pockets at the ends for the water bottle and the umbrella are very good. What I haven't tried are the bottom straps, but I'm sure I'll be able to put the phone sticks in there. What's more, I'll buy another model from this brand, it's great. (Just one detail I hope the maker reads, when you open the lid, for the main cavity, the mesh pocket ends up upside down and what you have in it spills or falls out, maybe a clasp or a clip there would be worth it; I'm going to put a small hook and loop strip there so that what I keep in it doesn't fall out!!)
