The horizontal satchel has a flaw that no one mentions at the time of purchase: when placed on your lap on a train, it slides off. The vertical format, however, stays put.
The vertical format, and what it truly changes
A reduced footprint
24 cm wide by 21 cm high and 11 cm thick, 500 g empty. The bag stays in front of the hip instead of hitting against the thigh with every step, which is a common complaint about wide messenger bags.
Flap with clasp, and zip underneath
Two successive fastenings, a clasp on the flap and a zip underneath it. It is slower to open, and that is precisely the advantage on a crowded train.
Genuine leather, leather lining
Exterior and lining in genuine leather. The leather is supple right out of the box, it does not require weeks of softening like a stiff tanned leather.
Interior compartment
A flat compartment holds a small tablet or an A5 notebook. It is not a laptop bag, and it is better to state that here than to discover it upon delivery.

We work to prepare your order with care and to make the products as quickly as we can. Delivery within mainland France usually takes between 5 and 15 working days, averaging 8 days.
For the rest of the world, delivery may take a few extra working days.

If you need to change the delivery details after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Delivery details, in particular the delivery address, can no longer be changed once the order has shipped.
Please note that delivery details for orders placed with PayPal can no longer be changed once the order is confirmed.
At present we can only handle one delivery address per order. To have your items sent to different addresses, please place one order per delivery address.

We will do everything we can to meet your request, but we cannot guarantee that an order can be changed once it has been placed. After payment has been approved, orders can no longer be cancelled or changed; you may return your item in line with the Sacoche Monsieur online returns policy.
Once placed, orders for made-to-order or personalised items cannot be cancelled or changed. The sale of these items is final and they cannot be returned.
Returns and exchanges are possible within 30 days of the delivery date, by sending your items back via carrier to the address that will be given by email; that address must appear on the return label. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer.

Goods returned by post to our warehouse will be processed within 14 working days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once your return has been approved. Refunds are credited to the original payment method. Additional charges for Saturday delivery are not refundable.
