Leather or nylon for a chest bag?
Nylon wins on weight and on rain. A coated nylon chest bag of the same volume weighs roughly a third of its leather equivalent, and a shower does nothing to it. Leather wins on how it looks after two years and on how it holds its shape when the bag is empty, which matters because a chest bag is empty more often than it is full.
The practical rule from our returns: buyers who wear the bag over a jacket in winter and a t shirt in summer are happier with nylon, because leather marks where the strap rubs a light fabric. Buyers who wear it as part of an outfit rather than as equipment keep the leather.
Anti-theft designs, and what the term really means

How do you clean a nylon chest bag? Cold water, a soft brush and no detergent on the coated face.
