Size before style
Measure what you actually carry. A phone with a case is often wider than buyers expect, and a pouch that closes only when empty is a pouch you stop using after a week.
Zip or flap
A zip keeps small items from escaping and takes two hands. A flap is faster and less secure. For cables, choose the zip; for a card wallet, the flap is fine.
Why black
A small leather item lives in a pocket or inside another bag, where it rubs constantly. Black hides that wear far better than tan, which is why most pouches are sold in it.
