This range answers one question before any other: will your laptop actually fit, and will it survive being set down hard. Every bag here states a laptop size. We stock 115 laptop backpacks from 14.37 to 318.51 EUR, median 78.54 EUR. Shipping is included in the price shown and returns run 30 days.
A sleeve advertised as 15.6 in is cut for the screen diagonal of a 15.6 in machine, and machines of the same diagonal differ by up to two centimetres in width depending on how thin the bezel is. A modern thin-bezel 16 in laptop often fits a 15.6 in sleeve, and a older thick-bezel 15.6 in sometimes does not. Measure your machine rather than trusting its label.
| Your laptop | Sleeve to buy | What to check | Price band here |
|---|---|---|---|
| 13 to 14 in | 14 in | Padding on all five sides, not just the back panel | 14.37 to 55 EUR |
| 15 to 16 in | 15.6 in, the most common here | Width of your machine, not its diagonal | 36 to 140 EUR |
| 17 in and up | 17 in | Sleeve suspended above the base, so the corners never touch the ground | 95 to 318.51 EUR |
The most common way a laptop dies in a backpack is not a fall, it is being set down on a hard floor. If the sleeve is stitched to the base of the bag, the impact goes straight into the bottom corner of the machine. If it is suspended, hanging from the top with a gap of two or three centimetres underneath, the same impact is absorbed by the bag.
This one construction detail separates a bag that protects from a bag that carries. It costs the manufacturer very little and it is almost never mentioned in a listing, which is why we sort the range by it rather than by padding millimetres.
Depends entirely on how you travel. Walking to an office and setting the bag on a desk needs a padded sleeve and nothing more. Cycling, crowded transit, or checking the bag into an overhead locker needs a suspended sleeve and a structured shell. Airline hold is a different problem no backpack in this range solves, and no honest one claims to.

A water repellent face handles a walk to the station. Sustained rain enters through three places no coating protects: the zip teeth, the base corners where the seams meet, and the panel where the shoulder straps are stitched. For a laptop that matters more than for clothes, so if you cycle in a wet climate the useful features are a covered zip and a laminated base panel, not a coated face.
Many models carry a USB socket on the strap. It is a pass through cable, not a battery. There is no power in the bag. You supply your own power bank inside and the socket outside becomes somewhere to plug a phone without opening the bag. Useful on a train, and not a charger. A bag sold as a charging backpack that arrived without a battery is not faulty.
It is not the place to look for a briefcase, a messenger bag or a shoulder bag with a laptop sleeve. Those are single strap formats and they live elsewhere in the catalogue. It is also not the range for a backpack chosen mainly on office styling: those sit in our work backpack range, which is deliberately kept separate so that neither page promises what the other delivers.
Prices are in euros and already include shipping, so the figure on the product page is what you pay. Nothing is added at checkout. Returns are accepted for 30 days. Parcels leave our European supply chain, so a US delivery takes longer than a domestic order.
Will a 16 in MacBook Pro fit a 15.6 in sleeve? Usually yes, because its bezel is thin and its width is close to an older 15.6 in machine. Measure the width of your machine and compare it to the stated sleeve width rather than the diagonal.
Can I put the bag in an overhead locker? Yes for the 18 to 30 litre models. Above 30 litres you are into the size where airlines start measuring, and their limits differ, so compare the pack dimensions rather than the litre figure.
Does a laptop backpack work as a day bag? The 45 to 120 EUR band, yes. Below that the shell is too soft to hold shape when the laptop is out, and the bag collapses.
